Our Mission is to provide community awareness for the needs of the Fairview Fire Rescue Department and find financial and non-financial solutions to enhance the health and wellness of its members.
We are a 501(c)3 corporation created to provide individuals and businesses both an opportunity to serve their community and provide tax-deductable advantages when making donations to the Fairview Fire Rescue Department. The Board of Directors of Friends of Fairview is made up of Fairview citizens, lawyers, firefighters, healthcare professionals and small business owners all committed to making Fairview’s Fire Rescue Department the best it can be.
Fairview is served by an excellent combination part-time paid and volunteer fire department, which has received an Insurance Services Organization (ISO) rating of 5. The fire district includes both incorporated and unincorporated areas within a 13 square mile area. FFR Department responds to all emergency & non-emergency calls with response times rivaling many local bigger-city departments. The majority of the Department’s 38 members are either Commission Certified Firefighters or are equivalent SFFMA Certified and all have EMT Medical certifications.
FFR will soon have two fire stations to improve efficiency and call response capabilities. Both stations have on-site living quarters so that firefighters & EMT’s are at each station 24 hours per day ready to respond to the needs of its citizens.
Housing, apparatus and equipment is provided through the Town of Fairview. However, new initiatives & programs that will increase safety, efficiencies and the wellness of the members is currently not funded or budgeted by the town. That is where the donations from citizens and business owners is so appreciated and needed. Please support your Fairview Fire Rescue Department with a charitable contribution.
